Keep and store your precious mementos,
personal sentimental items, photos etc of loved ones
"found or lost"
in a handcrafted beautifully designed heirloom quality reliquary chest
by Yartys.com.
 |
|
It
was discovered underground in a 2500 year old stone lined
sarcophagus tomb- a simply beautiful solid gold ‘reliquary
chest‘, (Larnax- pl. Larnakes - a type of closed box often used
as a container for human remains in ancient Greece) - containing
the mortal remains of a man, who was likely the Macedonian King
Phillip the second or his more famous son, Alexander the Great.
Pharaohs, Kings, Tsars, Popes, Caesars, Sheiks, Monarchs,
Kaisers, Sultans, Moguls, Emperors, etc. have all had Reliquary
Chests to store their very own most prized possessions- and
perhaps their own mortal remains, forever and eternity. These
Reliquary chests of course were made from the finest and most
expensive materials available at the time, gold, silver, rare
gems etc. They are indeed superb and priceless works of art and
craftsmanship and many can be observed in museums throughout the
world today.
Reliquary Chests have evolved and have many names associated
with them: Brides chest, Dowry chest, Hope chest, Life chest,
Veterans chest, War chest, Urn chest, Medals chest, Ceremonial
chest, Remembrance chest, Funeral chest, Treasure chest, Jewellery chest, etc etc. Their primary function still remains
essentially the same as by gone days- to store a persons most
precious and sentimental of personal belongings.
Yartys.com is
dedicated to producing and recreating the concept of “Old World
Reliquary Chests” using modern economical materials in
replacement of real gold, silver and precious gems. Each chest
is customized and personalized and is truly a unique and
beautiful, heirloom quality work of art that can be adored,
treasured and kept as always and forever. Comes in three
precious sizes. |
